Style: Hard House, Ghetto House
EvL E’s influence of music is wide and vast. Music has been an influence during most of his career as a musician, a dj, and throughout his life. Since the day he picked up a violin at the tender age of 9 years he has been hooked onto music. He knew right at that moment that music was going to be a major influence in his life. The electronic genre stemming from the late disco era of the early 80s into the sounds of ghetto house out of Chicago in the early 90’s to the now sounds of dirty and funky house of today has driven him the most. Some of his biggest influences include bands or artists like Kraftwork, Herbie Hancock, Erasure, Depeche Mode, NIN, DJ Funk, DJ Assault, Digital Underground, Moby, BT, Chris Collins, and so on.
He began his dj career in 1992 at a club called Crocodile Rock in Stevens Point where a DJ by the name of Tommy Krakow took him under his wing to teach the basics of the industry. He was hooked and has played many clubs and events stemming across the vast USA and all over Wisconsin exposing more and more masses to the sounds of electronic music. “The beating kicks, the high snares, and the grooving baselines has always been the secret of picking out the crowd movers and shakers”
Evl E began producing his own original works in the year 2000. He began working on remixes to become more familiar with the software and eventually released his first street cd of sampled works in September of 2003 called “The Next Level”. He is now working on a 2nd cd to be released sometime in 2006 or Original Produced works. He recently launched his recording label Atomic Rhythms Records in May of 2005 where he collaborates with other artists and djs to help out with better networking and music solutions. All this is to help bring about more of an exposure to the electronic genre of music to more of a mass of people.
In February of 2006 he joined on with Nascent Numen and is planning for future events in Europe in the summer.
